During his six year enlistment, he got to fulfill both dreams, when he was assigned a tour of duty in Germany. Ed took advantage, using his time off traveling through Europe, broadening and enriching his life through the many experiences in meeting people from various cultures. Upon his return in 1988, Ed launched his career in the mortgage industry, accepting a telemarketing position at Advanced Financial Services (AFS) now in Newport. In 2002, sensing a need to expand his knowledge of the mortgage industry, and desiring to build a business built on gaining professional relationships for life, Ed accepted a position as Sr. Loan Officer with Seacoast Mortgage of Pawtucket. From day one, Ed’s goal was to repeat his AFS successes and become # 1 loan originator. His focus and determination allowed Ed to achieve that coveted prize five of his near seven years at Seacoast. His achievements brought promotions to Branch Manager in 2003, with an opening of a branch in W. Warwick. A further promotion to Regional Sales Manager was given with branch openings in Wakefield and ultimately, Narragansett. Ed lives by his conviction that volunteerism makes for a better community. He serves on the Board of the South County Habitat for Humanity, as well as hosting group studies at his home for members of his church, Christian Hill Community Church in W. Warwick. He utilizes his love of sports by golfing and bowling to raise funds for his favorite causes. In this next chapter of his career, Ed believes his decision to join the Province Mortgage team will propel him further in his goal: to offer his clients the very best of professionalism and service he’s developed and nurtured during the last twenty years in the mortgage industry.
