George Sullivan has worked as a mortgage broker since 1991. He attended Middletown High School and graduated in 1985 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from University of Rhode Island in 1989. He owned Statewide Mortgage and The Mortgage Source before merging with Province in October 2008. He grew up in Middletown, Rhode Island. In his teen years George began playing guitar and performing in local bands. His love of music is something that has carried and driven him in life to strive and achieve his personal and professional goals. He is a father of two children, Isabel, 16 and Jesse, 14 and has become an accomplished musician. At 24 George had Isabel on the way and needed a job that could provide for his family “at the time I think I knew one person who wore a suite”. Sullivan wears one now, for a job he loves. After owning two very successful businesses George wanted the ability to offer more products to his clients and by joining Province Mortgage Associates he has been able to do just that. Sullivan specializes in working with potential buyers a year to 6 months prior to their purchase to ensure they can take advantage of the best program possible. “I enjoy helping potential home owners realize their goal of ownership and helping to strengthen their financial future” Although he has seen numerous trends since he started this job, the recent mortgage crisis has definitely been a challenging time for everyone. “I am in this for the long haul, it is a business I love and not one I will give up on when things get rough”.
